INTERVIEW WITH LADY WHO WORKED WITH ORANG-UTANS
Please tell us a bit about yourself: I’m called Jo Rice, I’m thirsty-seven and I originally come from Bognor Regis but have lived in Halifax for eight years. I went to Borneo in 2013 for six months to volunteer for a charity called Orang-utan Appeal UK which raises money for orang-utans which are victims of the pet trade or have been made orphans by the destruction of the rain forest. It’s a centre in Sabah in the Malaysian part of Borneo aimed at the release of orang-utans back in to the wild.
